Registration for YMUN 2016 is open!

Early and timely registration is important to ensure that we can meet the needs of each delegation and prepare an extraordinary experience for you.

This year, registration for YMUN will be considered on a rolling basis. Due to increasing conference demand and our desire to provide the best conference experience possible, YMUN XLII will have a maximum capacity. We encourage delegations to register early to avoid disappointment.

Please note, for a registration to be considered complete and processed, the $325 non-refundable deposit must be received. Once registration is complete, delegations will be considered for acceptance on a rolling basis. Delegations will then receive final confirmation on the status of their registration. Please refer to the "Registration Instructions" below for more detailed information.

The deadline for registering for the conference is October 5, 2015. Please note that even if a registration is submitted before the deadline, YMUN cannot guarantee admission due to the nature of the rolling registration process. Applications received after October 6th will only be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and if conference capacity has not been reached.

Please contact USG of Domestic Delegations, Malina Simard-Halm ( or USG of International Delegations, Katie Choi ( with any questions.

Country Assignment Policy

For delegations that have completed registration, paid the deposit and are accepted to the conference by October 5, 2015, country assignments will be determined in mid to late October. Country assignments will be released to delegations once the full payment has been made and the delegation has no outstanding balance. Due to limited availability and a large number of participants, country preferences cannot always be met. Space is also limited in Specialized Committees, and while we will do our best to accommodate your delegation’s preferences, we do not guarantee that all preferences will be met.

Country assignments are determined by a variety of factors, including Model United Nations experience, prior delegation conduct at Yale Model United Nations conferences, number of delegates requested, and country preferences.  If you are not assigned one of the countries you requested, it may be to ensure that you receive the number of spots requested.

Hotel Information

We encourage delegations to make hotel reservations as soon as conference registration is confirmed. The Omni New Haven, Courtyard Marriott at Yale, and the New Haven Hotel are our primary conference hotels and are all located within walking distance to Yale’s campus. Conference services such as security, morning announcements, and conference staff will only be available at the Omni, Courtyard Marriott and New Haven Hotels. Delegations are free to stay at any other hotel in the area. We will be providing a limited shuttle service to and from the LaQuinta Hotel for your convenience.

YMUN has negotiated a rate for limited accommodation blocs at the Omni, Courtyard Marriott, Hew Haven Hotel and La Quinta Inn and Suites. Hotels have already begun accepting reservations for the upcoming conferences through the YMUN bloc, and as space does fill up in the early Fall, delegations are encouraged to make hotel reservations early. Please note, we encourage delegations to book four delegates to a room. Reservations at these hotels must be made by December 7, 2015 and full payments made at least 30 days before the conference.

While a negotiated rate has been reached, all arrangements and fees must be dealt directly with the hotel—not through YMUN. Please contact the Sales’ Manager and mention you are a part of Yale Model United Nations, and the rates below will apply (subject to bloc capacity):
